passive-aggressive, angsty,* AND codependent

someone not supremely dear to my heart, though near to me in proximity, called me all three of those names in subtly backhanded-complimentary ways in our last few conversations (using the titular words verbatim, may i note). i think she meant to help me gain insight into myself, but all she did was demonstrate, annoyingly, how insensitive she thinks she is not. OK, duly vented.

the other day, i was taking the waterfront route home and drove by a lopsided old truck parked in front of the tiny harbor at embarcadero cove. the right rear tire was completely flat, and poetically, the truck bed was filled with old TIRES. i should see if it's still there and go take a picture.

dos equis moved to LA in february and will heretofore hereafter be known simply as X. we had an amicable breakup (which shouldn't be taken to mean there was any shortage of trauma...just no bleeding). he even joked, like the mensch he is, 'i guess now i'm tres equis.' but i think X is more elegant, and also funnily appropriate to his new circumstances. it's a huge relief to see we've matured enough to break up one weekend and then start the next one with bandanas on our heads, snarling 'yarrrrrh' at each other over german beers. (or is that the opposite of mature...?)

oh, and did i mention that filmschoolgirl won a fecking oscar? well, she consulted on a film that did and attended the oscar party for it that night. everything she touches turns to gold (except that which cannot be alchemically altered; namely, that one toad). girlfriend rocks.

* OK, well, i have angst. (stop laughing! jerks.)

"will heretofore" hurt
my brain hitherto until
hereafter made sense...

time was when we will
see the past to know the now...
the future? who cares...?

mindful or mindless?
your words spun in haste reveal
your humanity...

my words are neither...
the haiku above is worse
as it was thoughtless...

it is better said
in a brief private message...
not for all to see...

i went for a walk
to meditate on these thots...
returned with regrets...
